Kija Barnes, Culture Chair of EQUAL (United Airlines’ LGBTQ+ business resource group) started her career with United Airlines in 2006 as a Business Office Coordinator and has held various roles throughout her time with the company. She is currently an Inflight Services Supervisor based out of Newark International Airport. As Culture Chair, Kija has served as an internal liaison to employees in order to provide events and programming that develop and maximize member engagement.
