SERVICES
HMI’S PANTRY IS OPEN M-SAT 3:30-7:30PM. LAUNDRY FACILITIES ARE AVAILABLE M-SAT 3:30-5PM. SHOWER SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE M-SAT 3:30-6:30PM.
- All showers are part of your pantry appointment and lasts 30 minutes. 15 minutes for Pantry/15 Minutes for Shower.
Sign up at the front desk. First Come, First Served. 2 Slots available every day. - For Laundry come to our front desk and make an appointment – only 2 appointment per day (one load per day and bedding counts as 1 load – please plan ahead) and it’s first come first serve so please book in advance.
* Laundry is available from Monday-Friday from 3:30-5.
* On your appointment day stop by early – you MUST start your load before 4:30pm. Clothes cannot be left in the dryer overnight.
* Please be careful with our machines – empty all your pockets, and do not move the machines.
* First Load at 3:30pm; Second Load at 4:30pm

COUNSELING SERVICES
We have a diverse group of clinicians ranging from Drama Therapists, Art Therapists, and Social workers and across identities like Bipoc, Queer, and Trans+. Email counseling@hmi.org or call

On-call counseling appointments are 30-minute, first-come-first-serve appointments with set counselors for that day.

Sessions are offered every day M-F from 3:30 -7:00 and to schedule an appointment you can either reach out to counseling@hmi.org to schedule ahead or call 212-674-2400 to schedule the day of. Our staff will let you know the counselors’ availability.

We can do on-call appointments either virtually or in person at 2 Astor Place, 3rd Floor and typically have times every weekday from 3:30 pm to 7:00 pm.
MEDICAL SERVICES
CALLEN LORDE’S HOTT VAN visits HMI every Wednesday 4-6pm.
Services provided include:
- Urgent medical care
- Sexual health services
- HIV/STI screening and treatment
- Family planning
- PrEP/PEP treatment and counseling
- Transgender healthcare/hormone therapy
- Flu shots and vaccines
- Crisis counseling
- Referrals

MONDAYS
HMI’s Open Art Studio offers a variety of materials for your free creative expression, including (but not limited to) watercolor and acrylic paints, oil and chalk pastels, pencils, pen and ink, collage materials, fiber arts, printmaking materials, sculpture materials (plaster, clay, model magic, found objects), paper crafts, glitter, and more.
Using materials to express yourself through art can reduce stress, increase self-awareness, foster growth of hands-on skills, improve communication abilities, and boost self-esteem too! Hosted by Leesa Tabrizi Mondays 4-6pm in the art space.
