Theatre for Change is a paid internship opportunity for youth members 13-15 years old, with a theatre based- group that focuses on exploring identity and enacting social change utilizing creative expression, improvisation, storytelling, art, poetry and more! Participate in The Youth and Young Adult COVID-19 Impacts Study! The new study is for LGBTQ+ individuals ages 14-24. If you agree to participate, you’ll be asked to complete an online survey two times: once on the day you enroll, and once exactly six months after that. Kiki lounge will not only teach the history of ballroom but it will also teach everyone the elements of Vogue the confidence of runway the creativity of face and the strength of being real. It will also help some break out their shells and build their personalities to another level. There will be Instagram live videos and also after each live there will be clips posted to the Instagram page.
The Office of Children and Family Services is asking LGBTQ+ youth with foster care experience to participate in a listening session. Your experiences and expertise are important to making certain the foster care system is supporting and responding to the needs of all LGBTQ+ youth. Your voice is critical in this process, and we would be grateful for your participation. Participation information below:
- Age range: 14-20 years old
- Participants: youth who both identify as LGBTQ+ and have experienced the foster care system
- Access: listening sessions will be virtual. Youth will require access to an internet enabled phone or computer, as well as a safe, private space to participate in the listening session
- How to Sign-Up: Youth can access the listening session sign-up page here. There are currently two listening sessions scheduled from 4-6pm, the last Monday and Tuesday of each month from June to November 2021. Please choose a time slot as soon as possible, as each listening session has a maximum of 10 participants
In order to maintain privacy and confidentiality, cameras will be disabled in the WebEx platform. We also ask that all youth change their name upon logging in to something anonymous. These events will not be recorded, and we ask that all participants honor the confidentiality of others if they choose to share any personal information.
