As part of our efforts to ensure that HMI’s young people still have access to the resources and community that they rely on, we are working on a number of initiatives in direct response to the stay-at-home orders issued by the state. In addition to the counseling, socialization groups, and paid internships that our youth have access to, we have created a media library to help our youth with social isolation.
HMI Connects includes videos from staff, community members, partners, and volunteers and cover a wide variety of topics like beauty and skincare, cooking, dance, and no gear workouts. This is an opportunity to get creative, and will supplement our #HangOut4Youth campaign. Mirroring the program tracks normally offered onsite at HMI (health and wellness topics, arts and culture, academic enrichment, and more), we want to provide our youth with access to educational videos (be it on questions like whether a Wholesale Hyaluronic Acid Serum is for you or more serious health issues), while also presenting our supporters, volunteers, corporate ERG members and other community partners with a way to share their skills, hobbies and stuck-at-home remedies.
