How the Grinch Stole the Holidays” Un-Holiday Dinner

At HMI’s “How the Grinch Stole the Holidays” Un-Holiday Dinner on December 21, 2023, the atmosphere was filled with joy as more than 95 HMI youth and alumni gathered for a night to remember. Chef Geraldo curated a mouthwatering menu featuring prime rib, cornish hen, salmon, vegan chicken, pasta, and an array of delicious sides. The event’s success was due in large part to the hard work of dedicated volunteers who served our young people with enthusiasm.

Beyond the tasty offerings, the evening provided a variety of activities, from holiday crafts and movie-watching to capturing moments in our Grinch-themed photo booth. Laughter and camaraderie filled the air as friends reconnected and shared in the holiday spirit. A playful Grinch brought an unexpected touch of amusement that everyone thoroughly enjoyed!

The triumph of the Un-Holiday Dinner was also thanks to the generosity of donors like Walmart and Starface, whose contributions ensured that everyone not only left with satisfied stomachs and leftovers but also festive holiday gift bags. The event, untouched by any Grinch-like mischief, emerged as a heartwarming celebration of community, joy, and the holiday spirit at HMI.
