HMI CEO Amy Harclerode Honored by Women in Development

HMI was proud to celebrate CEO Amy Harclerode at last Friday’s Women in Development  (WID) 2026 Woman of Achievement Luncheon, where she was recognized for her leadership, vision, and commitment to LGBTQIA+ youth. HMI staff, board members, supporters, and loved ones joined Amy for the occasion, which honored leaders who strengthen philanthropy and uplift the communities they serve.

The luncheon also featured remarks from Jackie Garcia, a former colleague of Amy’s at the Wildlife Conservation Society and current WID board member, who spoke about Amy’s selection for the honor. HMI Chief Program Officer Bridget Hughes also shared reflections on Amy’s leadership and impact before introducing her to the stage.

Amy remarked on the event, “It was a tremendous honor to receive this recognition alongside so many accomplished women in the nonprofit and development space. I’m deeply grateful to Women in Development, as well as to my HMI colleagues, our board members, friends, and especially my wife for their support. The work we do is deeply collaborative, and this recognition truly reflects the dedication of so many people committed to supporting LGBTQIA+ youth.”
