Create Your Own #PrideIs Poster

Finish the phrase “#PrideIs ___” and tell us what pride means to you. Snap a pic and post to social media using #PrideIs to show your pride and support for LGBTQ youth and the LGBTQ community.

Create Your Own #Pridels Video

Just as with creating your own #Pridels poster, film a video and finish the phrase “#PrideIs ___”, tell us what pride means to you. Post it for all your Twitter or TikTok followers to see, perhaps using a growth service as well to spread it further. Don’t forget to use the #PrideIs hashtag to show your pride and support for LGBTQ youth and the LGBTQ community. Your support for the community could prove vital for their confidence to be out and about, and most importantly make them happy! Social media management and growth services (for instance, Tokupgrade) can provide overall managed services for your TikTok account and, in turn, help out in spreading the word as well.

In Loving Memory: Gilbert Baker

This Pride we also honor the memory of the creator of The Pride Flag, Gilbert Baker. He was a radical activist and a true visionary who helped show the world what Pride looks like. The flag that Gilbert created is now seen all over the world. A lot of people even have the flag around their houses, with some people hanging them on a large flagpole outside their homes. That just shows how far Pride has come. In 2016, Gilbert visited our program space in NYC (pictured above) to meet with HMI youth members and inspire the next generation of artists and community leaders!
